About Small Room Notes
Small Room Notes helps US renters organize smaller spaces with fewer unsuitable purchases. Our guides start with the problem, the usable measurements and an option to reuse what is already at home. A free calculator screens rectangular fits; a printable planner keeps the measurements together.
Product comparisons use the manufacturer's published specifications. We explain what those specifications tell us and what still needs checking in your home. Unless a guide explicitly describes our own test, we have not hands-on tested its products. Prices, stock and return terms are checked at the retailer when you shop.
We use AI tools to assist with research, drafting and original illustrations. Guides are checked against their cited sources before publication. Conceptual AI illustrations explain arrangements; they do not document an installation, a tested product or a customer's home.

Advertising & product selection
Some retailer links may pay us a commission when you make a qualifying purchase. A commission-earning link is labeled “Paid link,” and the guide explains the relationship before its recommendations. There is no additional charge to you for using that link. Ordinary retailer links are labeled separately.
We select examples for their relevance to the storage problem, available specifications and differences in format. A product's presence here is not a promise that it fits your space. We include non-affiliate options and explain when buying nothing is a reasonable choice. Retailers handle your order, payment, delivery and returns under their own terms.

The website operator identified in the legal notice above is responsible for personal data processed through this website. Use the email or postal address above for privacy questions or requests.
Website delivery and security
The public website uses Vercel Inc., USA, for hosting and delivery. When you request a page, technical information such as your IP address, request URL, access time, browser details and any referring page may be processed to deliver the site, investigate errors and protect it against abuse. Our legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website.
Vercel processes hosting data under its Data Processing Addendum. Processing may take place in the United States and other countries used by Vercel and its subprocessors. The addendum provides Standard Contractual Clauses for applicable international transfers. See Vercel's privacy notice for its processing of service information and retention practices. Technical data is retained only as needed for delivery, security, troubleshooting and applicable legal obligations; we do not maintain a separate visitor-level access-log archive.
Calculator, planner and tracking
The calculator processes your entries in your browser. We do not receive them, save them to an account or store them in browser storage. Printing the planner or saving it as a PDF uses your browser's print function. The public site has no newsletter form, user accounts, advertising pixels or analytics scripts, and its own code does not set cookies. Hosting security measures may process technical data as described above.
Links from Pinterest may include campaign parameters identifying the source Pin. Those parameters can appear in the requested URL and hosting logs. They identify content rather than your name or email address. We do not use them to build individual visitor profiles.
Retailer and affiliate links
Following an external link sends you to a separate service. Your browser contacts that service and it may process your IP address, browser information and the link's affiliate or campaign identifier. Affiliate partners may use cookies or other attribution methods under their own privacy notices. We do not load their tracking scripts on this site. Commission reports may provide order references, purchase values and campaign attribution; we use these to account for revenue and understand which content leads to purchases, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where statutory records are required, Article 6(1)(c). Records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes or applicable retention duties.
Email inquiries
If you email us, we process your email address, message and any supplied contact details to answer the inquiry. Our mail service also processes the message for delivery and storage. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general correspondence, or Article 6(1)(b) where the inquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed to resolve the inquiry, unless statutory retention duties or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require longer retention.
Your rights
Where GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability where the legal conditions are met. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
Providing personal data is not required to read the guides or use the calculator beyond the technical data needed to serve the website. If you contact us, we need enough information to reply. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.
